Medical Aid to MN Subramanian

The 79 year old Mr.Subramanian, now having a lot of health problems . He had a seizure episode which we  managed.  on the 6th Sunday night (06/11/2011) , his blood sugar registered very high and immediately the people near him hospitalised him in PVS,Calicut and he was in Medical ICU there.  As per doctor's advice there were stones in his Gall blader and their trial to remove the same thru key-hole surgery was not sucessful.  The stone in  Gall blader  had  been removed by surgery (Cholecystectomy).  The post operative situation worsened and some surgical repair also been conducted. The 41 days hospitalisation and surgery had  costed around Rs.1,35,000/- . The financial helps arrived from some of his family members, his friends, other philanthropists and mainly from his students and  members of Third Eye, the byestanding and nursing activities and one male nurse also been arranged.  After some weeks of his surgery, he has developed hernia and he is under Homeo treatment at present.  Also a herniac belt also provided to him under medical advice.

At present he is leading his life joyfully with a moderate health with a mild hernia

Mission of THIRD EYE, CALICUT & SAHAYA SAMITHI

After a through investigation and planning, we approached the vast philanthropic people and Mr.MN.Subramanian's disciples, students, friends and other good samaritans. The responses were very much encouraging and overwhelming.  Mr.Ramesh & Mr.Prakash, RG Oil Mills, Calicut have wholeheartedly agreed to accommodate this ill-fated musician in RG Bhavan, Chalappuram, Calicut owned by them, provided we build a small room in the open space of the building.  We took up the challenge and decided to mobilise the funds for the same.  Mr.Murali, (Karnatic Sangeetha Academy, Calicut) undertook the active role under the umbrella of Third Eye and within a record time of 3 weeks, we could construct a small and comfortable room with most of the amenities in the 1st floor of the building.  A restaurant in the ground floor has reduced our concern of his timely and daily food necessity.

The Inauguration & Handing over of the Key of the Place of Stay in RG Bhavan.

Brief History

This is the report given to us on our search with various corners and people associated to him.  Mr.M.N.Subramanian, aged 75 years, basically a musician (Mridhangist) living at Calicut, Kerala.  Mr.Subramanian a chronic bachealour who lived his life for his sister and her family consists of 3 very small children (1 daughter & 2 sons) some 25 years back .  She had been desisted by her husband for unknown reason and was under the care of Mr.Subramanian for a very long time until the flew away husband re-appeared about 5 years before. She was also helping herself by cooking in some neighbouring well to do houses including some eminent Lawyer's houses. Some months went well and the brother-in-law started creating problem for his profession of taking home tuitions (Mridangam classes)- the only livelyhood for the entire family which had brought them live hitherto.  Sister was forced to keep side of her husband due to dear reasons and by the time the children were also grown up and stood with their parents. Meanwhile the brother-in-law also bought the residing house from the landlord for higher cost than which was offered to Mr.Subramanian, and file a case for eviction of Mr.Subramnian from the house on which he had guarded his sister and her children. Ultimately, the matter went on for ligitation upto High Court of Kerala.  One funny thing happened midway that his own lawyer started representing his brother-in-law's case and finally he had to complain against the same to Bar Council of Calicut.  Finally, one fine day Hon.High Court of Kerala gave verdict on his brother-in-law's suit (without opening Mr.Subramanian's case); against Mr.Subramanian for eviction literally throwing out on the road one fine evening (All the dailies covered this pathetic news and stories of Mr.Subramanian for a long time).
This destituted senior citizen was taken care off by two great minds (Mr.Murali, Karnatik Sangeetha Academy, Malaparamba, Calicut and Mr.Velayudhan, KV Complex, Calicut) They had arranged  temporary stay for about 2 months for him and thus brought the case to Third Eye, Calicut.

Third Eye has initiated for a 'Sahaya Samithi' and after a months strive, we could arrange a shelter for him in RG Bhavan, Chalappuram, Calicut in June, 2008.  He has well settled there and upto 2014, there were no issues.  He was also enjoying and taking tuitions from there in his independent room. From 2014 mid, there started some health issues and had 2 surgeries from PVS, Hospital, Calicut and several inpatient treatment from the same hospitals.  All his students and well wishers had co-operated and taken care of him.  Third Eye, Calicut was in the fore front to arrange the Financial Aid for all there period.  His health deteriorated to that extent so that he was not able live with out an aid and assistance.  At this point of time, Third Eye officials alongwith his well wishers and students admitted him to an Oldage Home by name Home of Love at Kotooli, Calicut in 2017.  He had been looked after by them very well and while staying there happily, he has started his departure journey on 03rd May, 2018 to heavenly abode. He was cremated at Tali Brahmana Samooham Crematorium at Calicut.

Third Eye, Calicut expresses its heartfelt Gratitude to all who has supported this mission from start to end.
